Picturing America through the Eyes of African Americans

On Tuesday, November 16, 7:30 p.m. Author, Rochelle Alers will discuss the book, This Side of Brightness by Colum McCann. When an Irish immigrant is killed building the New York subway, a black co-worker supports the man’s family by marrying the widow.
