Free Services at the Freeport Memorial Library

Did you know that the Library offers more than books and DVDs to our community? We currently have on staff:

Ms. Elsy Gomez, our bilingual, part-time social worker. Ms. Gomez will be available to parents and caregivers of children under the age of 5 on Monday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Ms. Leticia Nuñez, our bilingual notary. Ms. Nuñez works Fridays from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Mr. Julius Pearce, our genealogist. In 1994, he co-founded the African-Atlantic Genealogical Society at Freeport with his wife, Joysetta, who is a board-certified genealogist. Mr. Pearce works at the Library on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Ms. Barbara Spinelli, our career counselor. Ms. Spinelli is the career counselor at the Library where she works on Wednesdays from 5:30 p.m to 9 p.m., and on Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m.
