Wi-Fi Hotspot

If your laptop computer or other portable device has a WiFi compatible network card, you can access the Internet via wireless technology on the adult side of Freeport Memorial Library. No special user names, encryption settings or passwords are required. Directions on how to connect to Internet is available on the Library's homepage.
In addition to the Internet, you can access the Library’s research databases and public catalog by going to the Library's subscription database page.

While WiFi is fast and easy to use, be aware that information passed through the local area network is NOT absolutely secure. The Library cannot assure the safety of your personal data when you use either our wired or wireless Internet access. It is recommended that WiFi users have up-to-date virus protection on their computers and wireless devices. Additionally, those who use the WiFi hotspots must abide by the Library’s Internet policy.
