Thirtieth Annual Juried Photography Show

This premier show sponsored by the Long Island Council at Freeport will hold its awards reception in the Library on June 3 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Health Fair for the Physically Challenged

On Saturday, April 24 from 10 a.m. to noon, the Library will sponsor a health fair for the physically challenged and their families and friends. Various organizations will share information on the different types of services and products that are available, and a speaker will present information about current health issues.

Preschool Fair!

On Saturday, March 20 from 10 a.m. to noon, the Library is hosting a preschool fair. If you are considering sending your child to preschool and are curious about programs available to the community, there will be representatives from local schools who will explain their programs and answer your questions. Also, see what age appropriate programs the Library has to offer. This program is open to the general public and no registration is required.

2009 VITA Volunteer Income Tax Assistance

MONDAYS, 10 a.m. -1 p.m.
February 8 - April 12 (except Feb. 15)

TUESDAYS, 6 - 8:30 p.m.
February 9 - April 13

SATURDAYS, 1 - 4 p.m.
February 13 - April 10
(Feb. 27, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.)

(Please check bulletin board for room locations.)

Please bring the following items for your income tax preparation:

1. 2009 W-2 form (if working)
2. General tax, school tax, and village tax receipts for 2009
3. Receipts for energy saving home improvements in 2009
4. Receipt for purchase of automobile in 2009
5. Social Security cards for all names on return
6. Photo I. D.s of those filing returns
7. IRS and/or NYS booklets, if you have received them.
8. Completed Intake and Interview Form to be filled out at library site.

This is a FREE service; however, it is not for those with involved finances or a business. VOLUNTEERS CANNOT PREPARE TIME-CONSUMING RETURNS.
