More Museum Passes!

The Freeport Memorial Library is proud to announce the addition of three more museum passes available to all Freeport cardholders.

Museum of Biblical Art (MOBIA)
The Museum of Biblical Art fosters understanding and appreciation of art inspired by the Bible and its legacy through the centuries by highlighting the connection between art and religion in the Jewish and Christian tradition.

The membership includes free admission for two adults and/or children at the same address. You may take advantage of a 20% discount on MOBIA merchandise, as well as discounts at many shops and restaurants.


Cradle of Aviation
The history of aviation, the history of Long Island, and the history of the United States became intimately entwined with the dawn of flight. From the early days of kites and ballooning to the race to the moon, Long Island has played a very important role in the development and growth of aviation and aerospace.

The membership included admission for two adults and up to four children, 18 years and younger. You may take advantage of a 15% discount at the museum store, and discount on the purchase of IMAX tickets.

Library Expands Computer Center

The Library expanded its computer services to include a total of 32 Internet-capable computers. .

All adult Internet and word processing, etc. will take place in the Job and Education Information Center on the lower level.

Freeport Musician: Anne Yarrow

Anne Yarrow presents the Freeport Memorial Library Board President, Denton Watson with her new classical music CD. Anne Yarrow, violinist, conductor, and college professor is currently on the music faculties of Molly College, Rockville Centre, New York, and the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College, Flushing, New York. Patriots is the 5th album recorded in collaboration with Caspar Dechmann.

The Freeport Memorial Library and the Freeport Historical Society present an exhibit of photographs of houses, events, and people from historic Freeport. If you have items you would like to share, please bring them to the July 12 reception.
