Freeport Author Paul Hashagen
On Wednesday, January 19th, Freeport author Paul Hashagen discussed his two latest novels, The Twelfth Hour and Fire of God. Paul served as captain of Excelsior Hook and Ladder Company 1 in Freeport from 1981-1982, where he is still an active member today. He joined the FDNY in 1978 and retired after twenty-five years of service. Paul was an Adjunct Professor at John Jay College in Manhattan. He has written numerous articles for Firehouse Magazine as well as two novels on the history of the FDNY.
