Bus Trip to Kykuit, North Tarrytown, NY

Bus leaves: 8 a.m.
Bus returns: 5 p.m. (approx.)
Our first stop will be a tour of the spectacularly beautiful Kykuit, overlooking the Hudson River, the former home of the Rockefellers. After a tour of the mansion, we will visit a series of beautifully terraced gardens. Then we will be on our way to the Sea Cove Restaurant for lunch. The cost of the trip includes roundtrip transportation in a luxury coach, admission to the mansion and gardens, lunch, taxes, and some gratuities. Registration for Freeport residents begins on Tuesday, May 5; nonresidents, Tuesday, May 12.

This past year the Library increased the number of computers available for adults from 13 to 32. A grant was secured to renovate the Children’s Room and to refurbish the circulation desk. During the coming year the Library plans to continue to reconfigure the adult area to provide more effective service.

The $149,609 (2.77%) overall increase will be funded by the Board using Capital Improvement funds. The proposed budget represents no increase to the taxpayer.
